Elizabeth's Beading Obsession
My obsession with beads (and all things shiny) and all the wonderful things you can do
with them.
A Little History

Looking back, I don't know what got me into beading. It is truly
a gift from God.
One night I was playing on the internet while my fiancé was
watching TV and I did my first beading
web search for no apparent reason. That was the start of
something wonderful!! There is a whole
beading community out there!! And there are so many things you
can DO with beads. Some people
don't do anything but hoard them and sort them.
I am a little overwhelmed at how many different techniques there
are for beading projects, but I am
excited to try each and every technique at least twice.
I've started taking classes at my local bead shop,
Ornamentea. Luckily, in
Raleigh, NC, there are several great
bead stores to feed my addiction. The rest of my supplies come
from the web (see Favorite
Suppliers page).
Update - Now I'm the Secretary on the Executive
Committee of the
Capital Area Beading Organization (CABO)!
Here are some pics of my stash...

You might be a beadaholic if:
You work so you can buy beads.
You sneak beads into the house.
You obsess about the one issue of Bead & Button you don't have.
The dustballs under the furniture remind you of really fluffy
beads.
You bead in the car at stoplights. And you're thinking about
beading the car.
Your kid's first words were "Pretty beads, mama!"
